Artisenally made single-origin Cacao by an all women's farm and collective called Nuevo Amanecer, near the town of San Antoinio, Guatemala.
Nuevo Amanecer was formed in 2013 to support women of her community. The women of this collective are reestablishing an old tradition of cultivating Cacao in a beautiful and ceremonial way that brings abundance to their community.
The Suchitepequez region, located on the foothills of the Sierra Maya, South of Lake Atitlan, and in front of the Pacific ocean, provides the most optimal conditions for Cacao.
Through ancestral ways of knowledge passed down through generations, this collective has maintained a sacred practice of processing this Cacao from fruit, to bar.
Fermented for 5 days in a basket with banana leaves, roasted for 5 days in the sun, and roasted by stone fire. This Cacao is specifically some. ofthe highest in Theobromine - the heart opening compound, and low in caffeine.
